A beautiful old cut diamond has been set in 18 carat yellow gold, which sits on a chunky 9 carat white gold band. This was a commission to remodel a customer's old ring.

A customer commissioned me to use the diamonds from her wedding and engagement rings in a new ring. The ring band is 9 carat white gold, with two diamonds rubover set in 18 carat yellow gold.

Each pair of rings includes a press formed leaf design, and each leaf carries a different texture. These have been imprinted using a rolling mill to pass the impression of, from left to right, a leaf skeleton, a sheet of emery paper and lace. The intricate and natural textures are embossed into the metal. The leaf shapes have been barrel polished. This accentuates the texture, as the recessed parts of the texture to remain unpolished.
