Swift bird necklace - leaf skeleton
An elegant necklace inspired by the sleek grace of swifts in flight.
The beautiful convex profiled sterling silver swift pendant hangs on a sparkly diamond cut snake chain. I texture the silver with a real leaf skeleton, which cannot be reused so each piece is truly unique.
I make each swift using a technique called press forming, where I hammer flat silver sheet into a former, which gives each piece its gently, convex domed profile. I then hand pierce (saw) each 3 dimensional swift shape out from the piece of silver sheet.
The necklace is also available in other finishes.
Each necklace is handmade and unique so may vary slightly from the images shown.
Size
The pendant measures approximately 32mm from nose to tail and has a wing span of 55mm. A 16"/40cm 18"/45cm or 20”/50cm chain can be chosen.
Materials
All parts are made from sterling silver, and the pendant is hallmarked.
